Attractions and sights close to Bjerregård
Due to the fresh westerly wind, the area around Bjerregård is a favourite among surfers and other water sport enthusiasts. The Aqua Sports Zone in Hvide Sande is a great place to try your hand at wakeboarding and/or water skiing.
If you are going to Bjerregård for your holiday in the summer and decide to visit Hvide Sande, you will have the chance to sail on the Schooner Maya. Maya was built at a shipyard in the Netherlands during the first world war and has since been relocated to Denmark. The ship is only used for tourism sailings nowadays.
On the way back to your holiday home, you can take a stroll past Abeline’s House (Abelines Gaard), which is located between Bjerregård and Hvide Sande. This is a former waterfront farmhouse, which is now set up as a local history museum for Holmsland Klit.
The nature around Bjerregård is very diverse, so it is absolutely worth getting out and exploring, whether on foot or from the saddle of your bike.
