Luxury summer house for 18 people near beach in Thorup Strand

Located in a coastal area by Thorup Strand is this 18-person summer house. The holiday home is located within walking distance of the beach or if you follow one of the many paths in the other direction, you will soon find yourself in the depth and tranquillity of the woods. Besides being very close to the crashing of the waves and a gorgeous dune landscape, the local area is also characterised by its charming fishing village atmosphere replete with boats, cutters and other fishing villages. The area is even the setting for a Danish reality show about the lives of fishermen called Gutterne på kutterne. Watch as the boats are brought ashore in the afternoon and buy the freshest fish around from over the railing, in the shop or in the smoke house. If nature is more your thing, options abound: Nearby you will find the Vejlerne bird sanctuary, Denmark’s only bird cliff which goes by the name of Bulbjerg, or Thy National park which is home to countless hiking and cycling trails through gorgeous Danish wilderness.

The fun may also continue indoors where you will find plenty of activities for guests of all ages. Begin in the holiday home’s very own mini water park where you can enjoy a swim in the large indoor swimming pool with water slide, counter-current system and Roman steps. After your swim you can then visit the house sauna for that full experience of well-being and self-care. Wellness also abounds outdoors where you can enjoy a spot of relaxation in the property’s outdoor hot tub.

After a swim, the fun can continue in the activity room on the combined billiards and table tennis table, table football table, darts and PS4. Or if you would rather relax then you can sit back in the cosy sofa area instead.

The cottage can accommodate 18 guests. Sleeping accommodation is spread across seven double beds and a loft which sleeps four people. The loft tends to be a popular option among kids and teenagers.

If you are a group who enjoys cooking together you will find ample room in the large kitchen which has two ovens, two dishwashers and two large fridges. The delicious meals you whip up can be enjoyed around the long dining table which has room for all the family.

Alternatively you can enjoy food outdoors on the partially covered terrace. There is a barbecue where you can grill some meat while salads and veg can be prepared at the outdoor sink with table. How about preparing today's catch out here? And while the food is being made, the kids can jump and play on the outdoor trampoline belonging to the holiday home or played on the play tower.

Frequently asked questions about this type of holiday home

How is electricity, water and heating consumption billed?

Consumption is calculated based on the meter reading on arrival/departure. You can always see the current consumption price for your stay via the tenant login that you receive when you have rented a holiday home.

If you need an estimate for a stay before you book your holiday home, our booking team is always ready to help you. As long as you know how big a holiday home you plan to rent, when you want to go and how many guests you will have, we can give you a price estimate for your consumption.

Renting a VillaVilla holiday home should be safe for you. Over 90% of VillaVilla holiday homes are equipped with a Vølund heat pump, which delivers around 3.5-5 times as much heat energy as it uses in electrical energy. This means that compared to a holiday in a similar holiday home with, for example, electric radiators, you will not experience nearly the same increase in price if energy prices rise. For houses with air-to-water heat pumps and ground-source heating, the cost of heating is included in the electricity charge.
