Attractions and sights in Hvide Sande
Due to the invigorating westerly winds, the area around Hvide Sande is a popular Mecca for surfers and other water sport enthusiasts. The Aqua Sports Zone Cable Park (Kabelpark) offers the chance to try wakeboarding and/or water skiing.
The nature around Hvide Sande is very varied, so it is a good idea to get out and explore, either on horseback, bike or on foot.
During the summer months you can sail on the Schooner Maja. Maja was built at a shipyard in the Netherlands during the first world war and has since been relocated to Denmark. The ships is only used for tourism sailings nowadays.
Be sure to also take a stroll past Abelines Gaard, which is located a bit to the south of Hvide Sande. This is a former waterfront farmhouse, which is now set up as a local history museum for Holmsland Klit.
