In Glyngøre we offer a holiday house with room for 20 people, which puts cosiness and Danish hygge front and centre, plus the home is also built and designed to be extremely family friendly. The summer house is built across three different floors, with bedrooms located on all three. This makes it much easier to create a little bit of peace and quiet at different times of the day if you need to. That way you can respect the wishes of those who want to sleep in, those who want to take a little afternoon siesta and those who prefer to go to bed earlier than the others in your group. There is also an alcove on the first floor.
In addition to the practical and convenient way the bedrooms are laid out, the kitchen is also designed to make things easier. Here you will find what we at VillaVilla define as an XL kitchen. This means that the kitchen has two dishwashers, two ovens, two cookers and two fridges, plus extra counter space. Although the old saying goes that too many cooks spoil the broth, we believe that having lots of people helping out in the kitchen is a lot more enjoyable and more than makes up for the disadvantages. The kitchen in this house is big enough that even the little ones in your group can get involved and help with dinner preparation.

One of the many things you will find in the holiday home is the activity room. The summer house has a room which is brimming with games and activities such as billiards, table tennis, darts and table football. Plus you will also find a PlayStation 4 in the activity room, which you are free to enjoy just so long as you bring your own games. If you haven’t got a PS4 of your own, perhaps your friends or neighbours might have some games you can borrow and take with you. Arrange a big tournament involving all the games in the room and complete to find out who will be crowned family champion at the end of your holiday. Or if that sounds like too much work, simply enjoy an occasional game to decide whose job it will be to do the dishes each evening. If you get tired along the way you can grab a refreshing drink from the bar, which is located in the corner of the activity room.
Swimming on the agenda? You can do this all year round in our holiday home in Glyngøre. The summer house has its very own pool area, with a 29 m2 pool that you are free to use. The pool is 1.65 m deep, but there’s no need to worry if you have little ones with you who have not yet learned how to swim. There is also a small children’s pool for the little ones to enjoy. If you are not really into swimming and splashing about, you can instead choose to relax in the whirlpool or to warm up in the sauna, which has a view out to the garden. The holiday home is only 600 metres from the beach, so you can also use the sauna to warm up again after an invigorating dip in the cold sea in the winter months.

The summer house in Glyngøre is very well suited for babies. This means that, in addition to the usual cot and high chair, which come as standard at all of the holiday homes we rent out here at VillaVilla, this holiday house also has a changing table and a baby bathtub. So forget the stress of a jam-packed car, and use the extra space for more enjoyable things that you want to have with you on your holiday!
You are permitted to bring up to two pets with you to the holiday home in Glyngøre. This means that if you have any four-legged members in the family, they are more than welcome at the holiday home. Excursions on your holiday home vacation in Glyngøre
Glyngøre has its own museum at the old railway station, where you can find more information about the town, its railway, industry, cultural heritage and other temporary exhibitions. Glyngøre has many traditions, such as lighting a bonfire on Saint John’s Eve, and telling stories every day throughout December.
The nature and landscape of Glyngøre bear the markings of the ice age in the form of steep hills, big escarpments and deep valleys. Glyngøre is also home to many bogs and woodland lakes, and you will find heather in a lot of places.
Today, Glyngøre Harbour is both a fishing harbour and a marina. Enjoy a breakfast at local eateries, such as Limfjordens Hus Kjøwenhavnerkokken. Glyngøre Shellfish sells world-class oysters.
The public beaches are located to the north-east of the village by a plantation area called Halkhoved Plantage. Here you will find a number of exciting marked trails.
The Salling Nature Trail follows the old railway line and goes the whole way from Glyngøre to Skive. It is ideal for cycling and walking. Located close to the harbour is the beautiful Glyngøre Church, which was erected in 1919 in a Roman style.
Taking an excursion to the island of Fur is highly recommended. Among other things, the island is home to varied hiking trails, a natural history museum, fossils which are thousands of years old and stunning landscapes. Fur is also home to the popular Fur Brewery (Fur Bryghus), where you can watch the brewing process, taste the house beer and enjoy delicacies in the restaurant.
