Here you will come across burial mounds, viewing points, huge lakes, heathland and an exceptionally rich birdlife. This is especially the case around Spøttrup Lake, which is a great habitat for otters. You may even be lucky enough to spot one!
The area has a beautiful and child-friendly beach, with shallow, clear waters and Blue Flag status. There are jetties in several places along the coasts of the Limfjord, where water lovers can dive in to the great big blue.
Located just 6 km away from Hostrup Strand, near Ejsingholm, you can find a surf centre and good conditions to try your hand at the sport.

Visit the Daugbjerg limestone pits where you can go on an adventure through its subterranean tunnels and hear the story of Jens Langkniv, who has been called the Robin Hood of Jutland. The Daugbjerg limestone mine is also home to thousands of bats.
Be sure to also stop by the well-preserved medieval Spøttrup Castle. Visit Bispens Market and be transported back to the Middle Ages.
Jesperhus Flower Park is an absolutely spectacular park. Here you can experience summer in full bloom alongside lots of fun activities.
The area by the Limfjord also has good cycle routes and golf courses.
