Here at VillaVilla we rent out many different houses in Ahl Strand. We have a holiday home with room for two larger families (14 people) and another with room for multiple families (up to 18 people in total). Both summer houses have separate sleeping quarters, which make it easy for you to find peace and quiet and a bit of privacy away from the rest of the group when you need it. For example, each family can take one of these bedroom quarters to themselves, or you could divide the house up by age group to make it easier to take everybody’s bedtimes into account without disturbing each other too much. Both holiday homes have a loft where up to four people can sleep. The loft is often a hit with children, as it means they can sleep and play in their own den rather than a normal bedroom.
Outdoors you can relax on the garden furniture with a good book or a cold drink, while the children play in the sandbox or on the swing set. You will also find a barbecue outside. The perfect setting to enjoy those bright and warm summer nights. If you have four-legged members in the family, then your beloved pooch will be able to stretch its legs on large grounds of the summer house. Both properties allow guests to bring up to two pets. If you need to bring more pets than that you are always welcome to contact us, and we will pass your request along to the homeowner to try and find a solution.
Holiday Home No. 268 is especially baby-friendly, so if you have small children in your group this is definitely a house worth considering. All of the summer houses that we rent out here at VillaVilla have at least one cot and highchair, but the holiday homes we categorise as especially baby-friendly also have a baby bathtub and a changing table available inside the summer house. This means more room in your car for things that will make your holiday in Ahl Strand even more enjoyable.

Both of the summer houses are simply brimming with things to do and enjoy, so even if the weather is cold and dreary you can still enjoy a great holiday. Both of the holiday homes have a swimming pool, a whirlpool and a sauna. The pool area is your guarantee for fun in the water no matter the season or the time of year. The kids can splash and play in the large pool while the adults unwind in the whirlpool, which is located in the same room. The sauna is easy to operate and a great place to warm up after a dip in the cold sea, which is just 300–400 metres away from the holiday houses. What could be better than taking a brisk walk before then coming home to a warm sauna where you can relax and warm up?
The holiday homes we rent out in Ahl Strand also have large activity rooms. These rooms house hours upon hours of entertainment and plenty of fun for all members of the family. You can compete in darts, billiards, table football and table tennis. One of the holiday homes also has a PlayStation 4 which you are free to use – just remember to bring your own games since there are none in the house. We suggest holding a tournament for the whole family so you can compete to see who will be crowned family champion! Or if that sounds too involved, you can simply just play a quick round to settle whose job it will be to wake up early and make breakfast for everyone else!

Ahl Strand is a great place to take the family on holiday. The area is located to the south of Ebeltoft on the Djursland peninsula in Denmark. The area is home to some gorgeous nature, where you can really unwind and relax. Ahl Strand is located on the coast, and its natural landscapes range from beach to forest and pastoral countryside. The beach is protected and very child friendly as a result of its calm and shallow waters. This makes it a great place to swim, both for seasoned and amateur swimmers alike. The seabed alternates between sand, clay, rocks and seaweed, so take your snorkel with you and go exploring. Ahl Strand is also a great place to surf or to try your hand at kitesurfing or windsurfing.
Lacking inspiration for a fun family day out? The many sights of Djursland are easily reached from the holiday home on Ahl Strand. You are close to many different zoos: Munkholm Petting Zoo, Ree Park Safari and the Scandinavian Wildlife Park. Also nearby is the quaint harbour town of Ebeltoft, where you can visit art museums and the HDMS Jylland or go for a walk in Mols Bjerge National Park, before returning to the holiday home to take a load off and rest your legs in front of the wood-burning stove.
