Cosy holiday homes by Købingsmark on Als
On the beautiful island of Als, we rent out several different holiday homes through VillaVilla. All of these holiday homes are located near Købingsmark on Als, and they are all just 500 metres from the longest and best beach on the island. Our houses are located on the northern part of the island (Nordals) and can accommodate between 16 and 20 people. The perfect size if you are looking for a place where several families or friend groups can gather and spend a nice holiday together.
The summer houses in Nordals are built to be comfortable and, above all, pleasant and cosy for large groups to share and spend a holiday together in each other’s company. For this reason several measures have been taken in each holiday home to help make your holiday as easy and enjoyable as possible.
One thing that contributes greatly to this is that the holiday homes for 18 and 20 people feature XL kitchens. These kinds of kitchen are different from the kitchens in holiday homes with space for 16 people in that they have two ovens, two fridges, two cookers and two dishwashers. Plus there is also additional counter space in the kitchen. This means you won’t end up tripping over one another when helping to prepare the evening meal, and you won’t have to worry about being down a fork because the dishwasher hasn’t finished yet. An XL kitchen makes your holiday in a holiday home much easier by taking into account the large number of guests.
Smart solutions are also in place when it comes to bedroom location and layout as well. All of our holiday homes in Købingsmark on Als have several different sleeping quarters across which the bedrooms are divided. Holiday homes for 16 people have two sleeping quarters with three bedrooms in each one. The holiday homes for 18 people have an extra bedroom in one of the sleeping quarters while the holiday homes for 20 people have a whole three different bedroom sections with two or three bedrooms in each one. All of the holiday home types also have a loft, which can sleep four people, and these tend to be especially popular among younger guests. The kids tend to think it is just the best to have their very own adult-free zone in the house!
Family friendly holiday homes on Als
Fun and play all year round
Fun in the water is guaranteed all year round in these holiday homes. Each of the homes has a pool section with a large pool where happy swimmers can splash and swim. The same room also has an exquisite whirlpool where the adults can relax as they keep an eye on the pool. Plus all of the holiday homes also have a sauna where you can enjoy a moment of peace and tranquillity. If you are visiting in winter you can take a bracing dip in the cold sea – the beach is only 500 metres away from the holiday homes – and then warm your bones in the sauna or by the wood-burning stove.
Once your fingers no longer resemble raisins, you can then head to the activity room for an evening of fun and entertainment. Here you will find a number of different games and activities to keep you busy for hours on end. Some of the games you can play are billiards, table football, darts and table tennis. Plus all of the summer houses also have a games console. You can check what games console is in each individual house under the description for that holiday home, so you know what games to bring. There are no games in the holiday homes. If no one in the family has the same console, perhaps you know someone who does and who can lend you a few games for your holiday. Some of the holiday homes also have a small bar in the activity room.
You can also enjoy your time together outdoors. Kick back in the comfortable garden furniture available outside while the kids play in the sandbox or on the swing set. Most of the holiday homes on Als also have a trampoline in the garden and some have a play tower, football nets or a petanque court as well. You can prepare your dinner on the barbecue and enjoy those warm and bright summer nights together on the terrace.
Baby or pets? They are more than welcome in this house!
Guests are permitted to bring along up to two pets in all of the holiday homes that we rent out on Als. This means that four-legged family members can join you on your holiday. Remember that dogs must be on a lead when you take them out around the holiday home area, but they are free to run about in the garden. Please contact us if you would like to bring along more than two pets. Then we will pass on your request to the holiday home owner.
Babies are also well catered for in all of our holiday homes. Each holiday home has at least one cot and a highchair. In addition, two of the holiday homes in Nordals (Nos. 300 and 289) are particularly well suited for babies. These homes have a baby bathtub and a changing table. So you can leave these two essentials behind and use the extra space in the car for other things that you want with you on your holiday.
Being in a holiday home on Als
Als is a nice place to spend time in a holiday house. In addition to the many hours you can spend together in the pool or the activity room, you will also find a wide range of different places to explore located close to the holiday home you have rented.
Nordals is replete with gorgeous nature, large woodland areas where you can go walking, several lakes and it has a rich birdlife. Nordals has a long coastline and the beaches on the island face out towards Denmark’s Little Belt. Købingsmark – which is where the holiday homes you can rent are located – is home to the best and longest beach on the island. Take the family along, dip your toes in the water, play in the sand, and if the weather is right, stop and watch the many windsurfers at work. There are great conditions for windsurfing by the water around Nordals.
In general there are lots of attractions, sights and experiences that you can enjoy when you are on holiday on Als. For example visit the historical Dybbøl Mill (Dybbøl Mølle), which is a national symbol of the country, or plan a visit to the town of Sønderborg. Here you can shop and stroll around the charming streets or visit one of the many interesting museums in town. For example, the very innovative Universe Science Park, which engages both the body and the brain. Another option is to take a day trip to Germany. The German border is only an hour’s drive from Nordals, which means you can easily go to Flensburg and back in a single day.
