The holiday home can accommodate up to 12 guests, and it is a very cosy and bright property decorated with several personal details. You will immediately feel welcome when you step into this house, and it won’t take long before you feel totally at home. Your holiday will be off to a flying start!

The holiday home is well laid out and has two distinct sleeping quarters at separate ends of the home. Between these two wings is where you will find the kitchen and living space with a sofa area and a wood-burning stove. One of the two bedroom areas has three bedrooms, while the other has two bedrooms and a loft up above. The loft has two mattresses and can therefore accommodate two overnight guests. The loft is usually a popular option with children, who can transform it into their very own adult-free den for the holiday. The loft and the two bedrooms are accessed via the activity room. So, if there is anyone in your group who might want to stay up and play games long into the night, we recommend putting them in this section of the house so that they won’t disturb the rest of the guests at the other end of the summer house.

It is permitted to bring up to two pets to this house. So if you have any four-legged members in your family, you will be more than welcome to bring them along on your trip to Østersøbadet! One thing to be aware of, however, is that the beach at Østersøbadet has been awarded a Blue Flag, which means that you are not permitted to bring dogs to the beach. If you need to bring more than two pets to the holiday home, please contact us, and we will forward your request to the owner of the holiday home to try and find a solution for all parties.

If you decide to spend your holiday in our summer house at Østersøbadet, you can look forward to lots of pleasant walks and hours spent on the beach, cosy evenings in front of the fire and many classic forms of quality time together in the house’s wonderful atmosphere. One thing that’s really great about the holiday home we rent out in Østersøbadet is that it allows you to enjoy the water all year round. That is because the largest bathroom in the house has both a whirlpool and a sauna.

The whirlpool is located in the corner of the bathroom and has room for up to four people. Above the whirlpool there is a skylight in the slanted roof, which allows plenty of natural light to flood in and illuminate the bathroom. In the summer you can leave it open and enjoy the fresh, warm air, while in the wintertime you can bring a hot drink with you to the whirlpool, relax and enjoy the sounds of the rain as it patters against the window above.

The sauna is easy to use and also has room for a small group. Steal yourself a moment of pure well-being as you enjoy a delicious drink and some time to yourself. Or enjoy the sauna together with somebody else and chat away to each other as you feel your body and muscles slowly relax. If you have been out for a walk in the local area on a cold autumn day or even for a dip in the sea on a winter morning, then the sauna is simply the perfect place to recover and get some warmth back into your fingers and toes. If you’re lucky, you may even get somebody to fire it up for you while you’re out so it will be lovely and warm and ready for you when you get home!

Activities in the holiday home by Østersøbadet

Besides the family-friendly layout of the house and its great wellness facilities, another thing which sets apart the holiday homes we rent out here at VillaVilla from other vacation rentals on the market is that our summer houses have their own activity room. The activity room is a place where you will find lots of games and fun activities which you can all enjoy together as a family. Our holiday home in Østersøbadet has a table tennis table, which you can use to play games of singles or doubles, or you can try playing “around the table”, so the whole family can get involved at once. You can also try your hand at darts or challenge each other at billiards. If you are feeling up to it, you could even put together a big tournament and compete against each other at all games over the course of your holiday – whether in teams or individually – and find out who will be crowned the family’s ultimate champion.

The activity room also has a PlayStation 2. Perfect if you feel like a slightly more modern form of entertainment compared to the more traditional options in the activity room. Just remember that it is important you bring your own games if you want to make use of the PlayStation. There are no games to be found in the holiday home. If you haven’t got any games of your own at home, perhaps you could borrow some from an acquaintance. 

There are plenty of things and activities you can do inside a holiday home no matter whether it is a warm summer day or a rainy autumn afternoon.

During the summer you can make use of the pleasant garden area which surrounds the holiday home. Here you will find a barbecue, which you can use to prepare delicious meals, and a terrace, where you can kick back in comfortable garden furniture and enjoy a good book or a board game. Children can romp around on the lawn, play in the sandbox or swing on the swing set. One of the things which makes this house special is that it also has a petanque court on the grounds. Petanque is a relaxing and fun game that the entire family can play. 

In the winter you can enjoy some quality time together in the lounge, wrapped up in blankets as you listen to the crackling fire in the wood-burning stove. Spend some time together in the kitchen baking all sorts of delicious treats, or take a walk down to the beach, which is only 450 metres away from the holiday home, and blow away the cobwebs before returning home again. Sights near Østersøbadet

There are lots of things to do on Lolland, Falster and Møn. You will not be bored when you go on holiday here. You are guaranteed to find plenty of fun experiences out in nature as well as real attractions that can easily take up a whole day.

For example, spoil the children and take a trip to Lalandia, which is a tropical holiday centre with a water park, where you will find a bowling alley, Little Vegas, kids shows, mini golf and an ice rink. If you are prepared to drive for just over an hour, then you can also take a day trip to BonBon Land amusement park. This place is brimming with fun, especially for the little ones. Plus there are many other exciting attractions on Lolland as well. Take your pick from Knuthenborg Safari Park, Paradise Garden (Paradishaven) or the Medieval Centre.

If your preference is for activities and sights that will get you out into the fresh air, then you will find plenty of options for that. We recommend taking a guided trip on the Packet Boat from Nakskov which – weather permitting – sails to the islands of Slotø, Vejlø, Enehøje, Langø and to Albuen and then the same route back.

If a boat trip sounds a little too tranquil for your tastes, then you might be more interested in some of the great surfing spots around Lolland. It is possible to practise both windsurfing and kitesurfing in the area, and there are some great areas for both seasoned experts and beginners. Another option is to take things a bit easier and to experience beautiful Lolland from a kayak. 

Østersøbadet is also close to good shopping options in Rødby. Rødby is located less than 10 km to the north of Østersøbadet, and it is a charming market town with old warehouses and flea markets. If you take a quick walk around the town, you will soon feel its very special and charming atmosphere, especially if you make sure to go past Rødby Church, which dates all the way back to the Middle Ages. A mini-museum opened in 2017, which charts the history of the town from harbour town to the market town of today.
