The Holmsland Klit and Ringkøbing Fjord area is a popular holiday destination offering wide, sandy beaches, rugged dune landscapes and ideal conditions for water sports such as surfing. The area is home to charming towns such as Hvide Sande and Søndervig, historic sights such as the Lyngvig Lighthouse and many family-friendly activities. Not to mention its many beauty spots and excellent walking trails, making it the perfect choice for a relaxing holiday in West Jutland.

The property itself is a fantastic holiday home that can accommodate up to 15 people – and so it is ideal for larger families. The house has two cosy lofts which are simply perfect for kids and teenagers, as well as five bedrooms and two bathrooms ensuring comfort and space for all.

The heart of the home is its inviting living area where you can relax in the cosy lounge and enjoy the heat of the wood-burning stove while others prepare food in the stylish kitchen with its spacious American refrigerator.

Meanwhile, the pool area is the perfect place to have some fun as a family while the spacious five-person whirlpool is simply great for enjoying a spot of pure relaxation.

The large, enclosed terrace provides and safe and secure environment for both small children and dogs. Outside, you will also find a fantastic play area with a large play tower, swings and an obstacle course, among other things. The house is also equipped with a number of energy-saving features that will help keep utility costs down. If you feel like a trip to the beach, you won’t have to go far at all. In fact, it’s practically located in your back garden! Head out for a long walk by the water’s edge or dip your feet and jump the waves if the weather is good enough.

Be sure to also discover the rich bird life on the protected peninsula of Tipperne by the Ringkøbing Fjord. It’s one of the most important rest areas in Denmark for migratory birds. In the summer months, you can also visit the tourist fish auction in Hvide Sande and buy some freshly caught fish. Simply put, there is something for everyone!

Frequently asked questions about this type of holiday home

What time can we arrive at the house?

The house will be at your disposal from 15:00 on your day of arrival. It is not normally possible to access the house earlier than that.

What time do we need to vacate the house by?

The house is at your disposal until 10:00 on your day of departure (or 11:00 if you are departing on a Sunday). A later departure than that is not usually possible.

How is electricity, water and heating consumption billed?

Consumption is calculated based on the meter reading on arrival/departure. You can always see the current consumption price for your stay via the tenant login that you receive when you have rented a holiday home.

If you need an estimate for a stay before you book your holiday home, our booking team is always ready to help you. As long as you know how big a holiday home you plan to rent, when you want to go and how many guests you will have, we can give you a price estimate for your consumption.

Renting a VillaVilla holiday home should be safe for you. Do I need to bring my own towels and linen?

It is possible to purchase a linen package with linen and two towels (one large and one small) for DKK 135 each. Alternatively, bring your own.

Do you have to bring your own wood for the wood burning stove?

Yes, wood for the stove must be brought, but can often be bought locally in small portions. Note: Not all holiday homes have a wood burning stove (please see the house description).

Do we need to bring our own games for the gaming console?

Absolutely! You need to bring your own games for the gaming console. Note: Not all holiday homes have a gaming console (please see the house description).

Are there cots and highchairs in the house?

Absolutely! There is always a minimum of 1 cot and 1 high chair in our houses - please note that you will need to bring a mattress.

Are there duvets and pillows in the cottage?

Absolutely! Duvets and pillows are always provided for the number of people the house allows. However, you must bring your own duvets and pillows for children's beds.

Will the pool be warm upon arrival?

Absolutely! The pool is always heated to between 26-29 degrees and ready for use upon arrival. Note: Not all holiday homes have a pool (please see the house description).
